After the activity, the coach sports tape should be removed using a tape cutter or bandage scissors. Adhesive remover should be used to help loosen the tape.
The tape should not be left on for too long to prevent skin irritation or breakage.
How to use ankle coach sports tape
Step 1 – Attach the coach sports tape to the bottom of the foot, starting with the ball of the foot.
Step 2 – Then guide the tape diagonally up…
Step 3 – Wrap around to the back of the heel bone
Step 4 – Then turn smoothly and diagonally back to the midfoot.
Step 5 – Then at the foot, go diagonally up again, this time slightly higher.
Step 6 – Then round the heel a little higher this time.
Step 7 – Then lean forward and around your feet again.
Step 8 – Smooth the bandage under the heel and pull up to provide support for the lateral ankle ligaments.
Step 9 – Then go around the heel again.
Step 10 – And finish above the ankle.
