When a European client approached Aupcon with a concept for a custom face kinesiology tape product, and they needed more than just a manufacturing facility; they needed a partner to help them bring their product idea to life.
This project involved pre-cut face kinesiology tape, including custom colors, a logo, printed backing paper, metallized PET packaging bags (10 strips), and a custom outer packaging design. The client also specified a launch date.
As a Chinese fabricant de bandes de kinésiologie with both production and customization capabilities, Aupcon was involved in the entire project, from inquiry, design, sampling, and production to logistics.
The following is the process by which we solved several key problems in this project.

Starting with the Inquiry: Discussing and Analyzing the Inquiry
This was the client’s first collaboration with Aupcon, and they wanted to launch this new face kinesiology tape product project with a relatively small quantity.
However, due to the involvement of pre-cutting, custom colors, printed backing paper, and exclusive packaging, the project’s production complexity and minimum order quantity were higher than for ordinary products.
Instead of simply telling the client “insufficient quantity, production impossible,” we further analyzed product requirements and assisted them in adjusting their order plans based on actual production conditions. Ultimately, both parties finalized an order for 2,000 pieces.
However, the client still wanted to reduce the risk of launching the new product without verifying the actual production results. Therefore, Aupcon proposed a phased solution: the client placed an order for 2,000 pieces, with 500 pieces shipped first for quality confirmation, followed by the remaining products.
This gave the client the opportunity to test the custom face kinesiology tape in a near-market state, preparing for the upcoming product launch!
For clients purchasing this type of product for the first time, we believe this support is more valuable than simply offering a low price quote, and it’s the cornerstone of the client’s trust in Aupcon.
Design Team Involvement: Transforming Client Ideas into Production-ready Designs
Once face kinesiology tape product specifications were finalized, Aupcon’s design team became involved.
Packaging Design: Modifications and Adjustments
The client already had a clear visual direction for the packaging, but we discovered several details needed adjustment.
For example, the client initially designed upright packaging, but the final product required a flat packaging design; also, the logo position needed to be readjusted to fit the packaging safety line.
Our design team repeatedly confirmed with the client through renderings, die-cutting lines, and layout suggestions, rather than leaving the client to figure out the modifications themselves.
For customized face kinesiology tape projects, Aupcon’s design team not only handles the graphic design but, more importantly, helps clients find a balance between visual appeal and production feasibility.

Color Confirmation: Avoiding Discrepancies Between Screen Display and Actual Printing
Color was a crucial detail in this project.
The client wanted the face kinesiology tape and packaging to maintain a consistent brand visual identity, with the tape in cool gray and the logo in dark cyan.
Before production, we reminded the client that different materials and printing methods can produce visual differences. For example, PET packaging, paper, backing, and the tape itself don’t always present the same color.
Therefore, instead of relying solely on the screen color for confirmation, we produced according to the Pantone color codes already agreed upon by the client. We also helped the client anticipate the final effect in advance through design mockups and actual references.
The goal was simple: to clarify color issues before production, rather than discovering color differences after production. For custom kinesiology tape projects, color confirmation is a vital step from design to mass production.
Production Deviations: How Aupcon Factory Resolves Problems
The most pressing issue in the project was the printing of the backing paper.
After the first face kinesiology tape production run, the client discovered a discrepancy between the logo’s position and the original design, and the logo’s frequency of appearance was also lower than expected.
In response, instead of simply asking the client to accept this, we immediately reviewed the production process to identify the cause. Factory analysis confirmed that the backing paper used a random cutting process, making it impossible to guarantee that the logo would be in the exact same position on every sheet.
Our team clearly communicated the issue, discussed feasible solutions with the client, and arranged a revised production plan!
We remade the backing paper and, after the new production was completed, sent the client photos of the finished product for confirmation before shipment.
The client ultimately replied, “That looks great!” Only after confirming there were no issues did we proceed to the next step of shipping.
This also highlights the value of the Aupcon factory: production capacity not only means being able to produce the product, but also means being able to identify the cause and propose solutions when actual production differs from design expectations.

A Clear Product Launch Date: Delivery as an Integral Part of the Project
The client planned a product launch event on September 5th.
This meant our goal wasn’t just to complete custom face kinesiology tape production but also to ensure the product reached the client before launch. Throughout the project, Aupcon continuously updated the client on production, packaging, and shipping progress.
After the first 500 units were completed, we arranged a UPS shipment and provided tracking information, allowing the client to monitor the shipment’s status in real time.
Ultimately, the first 500 units arrived before the client’s planned launch date. This meant the client could proceed with the product launch as planned without needing to adjust the launch schedule due to supply chain delays.
After receiving confirmation, the client expressed satisfaction with the final product. From the initial inquiry to receiving a ready-to-market custom face kinesiology tape product, this project truly completed the entire process from product conception to market launch.
