Composition of the Kinesiology Patch
Three Common kinesiology patches materials
Cotton + Spandex: 95% cotton + 5% spandex. This is the most commonly used and best-selling katoenen kinesiologietape. Cotton is soft, breathable, and comfortable against the skin, making it suitable for long-term wear. Blended with spandex, cotton fabric typically stretches to 130-160% of its original length.
Synthetisch: The base material of synthetische kinesiologietape, a semi-synthetic fiber made from pure cellulose. All rayon fabrics are made from natural materials such as wood pulp and cotton. Compared to cotton, rayon is generally smoother, more colorful, and more durable but slightly less elastic.
Nylon: Nylon four-sided elasticity kinesiology tape icomprises 80% nylon and 20% spandex. It conforms more smoothly and comfortably to the skin and offers excellent elasticity. It can stretch 190%-230% in horizontal and vertical directions, making it ideal for large-scale body activities and fitness.
Medical Adhesive
Our kinesiology patches generally utilize Henkel’s medical-grade adhesives and acrylic adhesives. Hypoallergenic and latex-free, it minimizes the risk of skin irritation and allergic reactions.
Release liner (backing paper)
This paper protects the adhesive and allows the kinesiology patches to be easily peeled off for application. During production, the kinesiology patches is typically slightly pre-stretched (approximately 10-15%) before being applied to the backing paper, to ensure tension release.
